Lava launches 3G 402+ budget Android phone for INR 6,499

Indian smartphone vendor Lava has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in the country. Part of the company’s 3G line-up and a successor to previously launched 3G 402, the new smartphone is dubbed as 3G 402+. It has been priced at INR 6,499 (Street Price: INR 5,499) and is now on pre-order at various e-retailers. The phone will go on sale this week.

Lava 3G 402+ features dual-SIM support, 4-inch WVGA display, and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The phone also comes with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and the usual set of connectivity options.

On the software front, Lava 3G 402+ runs on Android 4.2.2 and packs a host of pre-loaded applications and software tweaks like Shake to Answer/ Silent, Backup tool and more.

The phone will be competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Fun A63, Spice Stellar Nhance 2, and XOLO A500L, all of which come with similar pricing and features.
