Lava has announced the launch of Ivory S tablet, priced at Rs 8,499. The USP of the dual-SIM tablet(3G+2G) is its voice-calling feature. The tablet is available in white and grey colours.
Ivory S has a 7.0-inch display with a less-than-HD 1024×600 pixel resolution. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and there’s no word on any update to KitKat or beyond. Under its hood lies MediaTek’s MT8312 dual-core processor with 1.3GHz clock speed. The processor has been teamed up with 1GB RAM, while graphic duties are handled by the Mali 400 GPU. The tablet comes with 3G voice and video calling, which is bound to attract those who prefer large displays on their phones.
The tablet has a 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. It also has 4GB of on-board storage space and you can expand this to up to 32GB using the microSD card slot.
Ivory S will be powered by a 2800 mAh battery. Lava claims that the battery will deliver 8 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time. The connectivity features list of the tablet includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, USB tethering, EDGE, GPRS and 3G. Lava has also loaded games, entertainment and social apps. It has also loaded security and productivity apps too.
