Lava Thursday launched three smartphones in the affordable 4G segment Lava A71, A88 and X11 in the Indian market, priced at Rs 6,499, 5,499 and Rs 7,999 respectively.

The new devices feature Android 5.1 operating system, and Lava A88 and X11 are however not immediately available, the company said.

Powered by a 1.5GHz quad core processer, Lava A71 smartphone will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, it said, adding that the new device features a 5-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass and offers 8 GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB.

Lava A71 comes with 5.0 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 2.0 megapixel front camera.

"Mobile internet penetration is rapidly increasing in India and with 4G services being rolled out the pace will increase further. Even in markets where 4G services have not yet been launched by the operators, consumers want to opt for 4G devices to stay future ready.," Navin Chawla, Chief Operating Officer, Lava International said.

With affordable 4G devices at multiple price points, Chawla said that the company aims to fuel the aspirations of the ever evolving mobile consumer.
