Virat Kohli, the India cricket team captain, is set to bag the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award, given to the International Cricketer of the Year, at the BCCI Annual Awards to be held in Bengaluru on March 8. Kohli, who first received the award in 2011-12 and then in 2014-15, will become the first Indian cricketer to be bestowed with the honour thrice.

Ravichandran Ashwin, meanwhile, will also become the first Indian cricketer to receive the Dilip Sardesai Award twice. The star all-rounder first won the award - instituted to honour the best performance in India's bilateral Test series against West Indies - after being named the Man of the Series in his debut series in 2011. Last year, in the four-match away series, Ashwin was again chosen Man of the Series for his outstanding all-round show where he notched up two centuries and picked up 17 wickets including two five-wicket hauls.

BCCI's Annual Awards committee consisting of N. Ram, Ramachandra Guha and former Women's cricketer Diana Edulji had nominated Rajinder Goel and Padmakar Shivalkar for the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. Former Women's team captain Shantha Rangaswamy will be awarded with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women.

Madhya Pradesh's Jalaj Saxena bagged the Lala Amarnath Award for the best allrounder in 2015-16 Ranji Trophy season while Gujarat's Axar Patel will be awarded the same for his show in limited-overs cricket.

Railways' Mithali Raj will be awarded the Jagmohan Dalmiya Award for Best Women Cricketer (Senior) in the 2015-16 season, while Nitin Menon bags the best umpire award in the domestic circuit.
