JK Imaging, which licenses the Kodak
brand, has launched the PixPro SP360
– a 16MP action camera that can
capture 360-degree panoramic
photos and videos.
The Kodak PixPro SP360 can capture
full HD video at 30 frames per
second and can capture two 180
degree videos simultaneously on a
split screen. There’s also a feature
that lets you take 214-degree angle
photos for capturing “dome-view”
photos.
Other than letting you capture a 360°
view of the world, the PixPro SP360
supports time-lapse video and comes
with a motion-detection sensor that
automatically records videos. It’s also
waterproof, freezeproof up to 10
degree Celsius, shockproof from 2
metres, and dustproof, which makes
it suitable for shooting photos and
videos in different weather
conditions.
The SP360 camera comes with a one-
inch LCD display to compose your
recordings. There’s 8MB of internal
storage, which you can boost up to
32GB using the microSD slot. It
supports Wi-Fi and NFC for quickly
transferring your photos and videos
to other devices. Plus, it can be
remotely controlled by a smartphone
though an app for iOS and Android
devices.
The Kodak PixPro SP360 action cam
is available for $349 on the Kodak
website and will compete with the
likes of the GoPro, 360Fly and VSN
Mobil’s V.360 camera.
