N'Golo Kante has completed his pounds 30 million move from Leicester City to Chelsea after agreeing a five-year contract worth pounds 150,000-a-week.

Kante, 25, was one of the stand-out players in Leicester's shock Premier League title win last season, and had been coveted by other clubs around Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain.But Chelsea were always confident they could persuade the France international to commit to them, and have now taken their summer spending to pounds 63 million, having already paid pounds 33 million for the Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi.

"I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe," Kante said. "It's a dream come true for me. The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down."

Conte, meanwhile, has vowed to rejuvnate Eden Hazard and make him as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Conte wants Hazard to rediscover his brilliant form of two seasons ago to become one of the Premier League's most feared attackers, following the Belgium international's dismal experience last season.
Hazard endured a torrid campaign, plagued by a persistent hip injury, and he was held up as one of the prime reasons for Chelsea's alarming decline.

Conte said: "We have players who have great talent but in this moment the world doesn't think they are the same level as Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo or Pogba. I think that in our squad there are players who, with work, can improve a lot and reach this level. It's important for us to recover Hazard in the best condition, technique, tactical, physical, overall and with the good mentality. I spoke with him and I'm very happy."
