Does it support 4G/VOLTE?

There's a specific purpose for Jio phone. It's the cheapest phone with 4G support. These phones can't possibly be competitors for that.

Jio speed is already going down in a nosedive like a uncontrolled aircraft so there is no question of using it with TV as a cable TV replacement and for 2.4 inch 320 x240 pixel does not require much pixel to form image on screen so 2G will be sufficient I think.

Naaaahh, nobody is going to use the Jio phone as a TV replacement. They weren't able to penetrate the feature phone market because of the VOLTE restriction. Now they'll be able to. All the other extras they are giving is just a bonus. Other networks have no idea as to what to do about this. They ran out of ideas. Why is there a need to launch a new 2G phone? What's special in it? They can give offers on existing feature phones. There are still phones under 1000 rupees that supports 2G!!!
