Jio is upgrading eligible AirFiber customers ODU with AirFiber Plus C6 ODU free of cost. Currently, this upgrade is happening only in cities (including tier-2 and tier-3 cities).

The main criteria for the free ODU upgrade is feasibility — the customer's ODU distance should be within 500 meters from Jio tower and the Jio tower should have AirFiber A6 device installed which supports AirFiber Plus antenna connectivity.

In such cases, Jio is creating work orders for eligible customers automatically from their side and replacing their ODUs.

In the coming times, Jio plans to make AirFiber Max (high-speed) plans available in all cities which will provide users access to speed upto 1 Gbps plan.

To highlight AirFiber Max, now Jio AirFiber page on Jio.com shows Max plans before normal AirFiber plans.

Since most of the users have AirFiber installed, they can only subscribe up to 100 Mbps plan.

Only those with AirFiber Plus C6 ODU can subscribe to higher tier plans, once made available from Jio end.

Currently, only the C6 device upgradation is happening. Even those who got the C6 ODU installed can not subscribe to higher tier plans due to the limitations set by Jio.

I heard that they are pumping up for the Max plans launch.
 
Tbh with Jio, in a lot of places, even their fiber doesnt work correctly w.r.t latency and all. It's mostly good for streaming and heavy downloading. Any real time application and Jio will mess that up. Only upside to C6 is that latency and stability is "expected" to improve. My nearest A6 equiped tower is hardly 50-60 mts away from my home. If enough i interest is raised in this thread, ill get a brand new spanky airfiber connection for 3 months and will do the testing and all
