The black colour logo of JioHotstar in print adv. of WPL is looking more promising than, the actual logo.

From a design perspective, the first thing they need to address is the size of the spark/star with respect to the word "JioHotstar." I have noticed several instances where there are irregularities.

Remove this spark and use simple font like hotstar used to do.

I'd prefer a combination of these 2 suggestions: All black + All lowercase.

If the letters J & H weren't in uppercase, the ugly font won't standout too much

I still don't get the reason to add prefix Jio with hotstar? The name hotstar itself has set a standard in OTT space. When app opens just mention Jio under it like this.

I've strong feeling this is negative publicity to grab attention, they'll soon gonna introduce new sober logo to JioHotstar.

Apparently, Hotstar started to censor things now. This happened yesterday with The White Lotus Season 3 itseems. The particular sequence in question was Der when I had watched it in the morning, but was removed once they re-uploaded the same.
