Seeking Help Jio FAT Box Installed, But No Wired Connection – Why Only AirFiber?

It’s really disappointing that Jio has installed a FAT box right near my house, yet they are not providing a wired JioFiber connection. Instead, they’re only offering AirFiber (wireless) service, which doesn’t match the reliability and stability of a proper fiber connection.

Many of us here are ready to subscribe to JioFiber, but they’re ignoring our requests and pushing only AirFiber—even when the infrastructure is visibly available!

If the FAT box is installed, why not give us the option to choose wired fiber? We deserve stable internet, especially those of us working or studying from home.
 
This a major issue going everywhere all over India. I think the company (Jio) is giving them higher targets for AirFiber and they just care to fulfill it to keep their track record safe. Similarly, there must be higher incentives when an AirFiber connection is sold but due to older product, Fiber may not give any commission to them.

Jio's employees have become their own company Fiber product enemy after AirFiber came to the market. They not only mislead people but also upsell the AirFiber calling it superior to Fiber!

In the recent times, in my locality, Jio employees were seen damaging their own optical fiber (JioFiber) infrastructure for which we had a long discussion on the below thread. Hence I am not surprised if they are stopping you from opting for fiber despite having FAT box available.

We have reached a point in time where some Jio employees are intentionally damaging existing JioFiber (optical fiber) infrastructure to compel people to opt for the mediocre AirFiber, even if they don't want to. This situation is widespread, and I've heard similar reports from people across the city and other areas as well. 😩

A few weeks back, I noticed that Jio technicians (so-called engineers) visited my locality, performed some maintenance, and then left 3-4 FAT boxes open. As it's the rainy season, I quickly informed the local Jio office team. They requested photos (proof) to...

No, at least not until Jio wants Fiber customers again and give their sales people equivalent incentives for Fiber, like they are doing for AirFiber.

Airtel is good from this aspect. They are still expanding their optical fiber broadband and providing new fiber connection without hesitation.
 
Actually Sir the Jio fatbox is installed almost beside my house, so I was thinking to Jio fiber connection,,

Yes bro, I understand that. In my street also, there are multiple Jio FAT boxes present with available ports. But they are only installing AirFiber for new connections saying JioFiber is stopped.

For example, I have JioFiber connection which works fine but my neighbor who took new connection recently has got Jio AirFiber. Since they don't know there's a noticeable difference between both products stability, they took AirFiber without a second thought or without any argument. Jio employees doing it everywhere now.
 
Still, if you want to escalate the issue to higher authorities, try filing a grievance on the PG Portal - pgportal.gov.in

Jio Is expanding fiber in our nearby area now jio installed new underground fiber chambers in my nearby area which is 700 mtrs away from my home I am hoping that jio will come to my area soon
