Have you guys noticed how Jio seems to not want users accessing their router's admin panel? Every couple of weeks (or if you don’t open the admin panel for a while), you get a forced password change prompt. The message states that you must update your Jio Fiber admin password (not the Wi-Fi password) with these restrictions:

  1. You can’t reuse your old password (fair enough, that’s common).
  2. You can’t even use the last 3 passwords!
Seriously? First, they force you to change the password frequently (in my case, it happens if I don’t access the panel for around 15 days or more), and now they expect you to keep track of a new one every time?

To make things worse, the admin panel automatically logs out in just 3 minutes if there’s no activity. Three minutes! Older firmware versions allowed you to extend the session timeout up to 999 minutes, but now the option is still there, just completely disabled. Jio is clearly making it harder for users to access and manage their own router settings.

Damn thats fishy fishy. Jiofiber starting to assert full control on their routers, which i'm sure will be done in future. Enjoy it while you guys can then move out to local fiber, I'm telling you its peace of mind.

Now when i have reset the router, I'm unable to login admin pannel. Its asking me to change the login password and when i try to change the login password its is saying 'please enter a valid Confirm new password for user Admin' but there is no option showing to re-enter password for admin.

I was seeing the same, so I just rebooted and I got the option to re-enter admin password.

Damn jio is really going after its customers taking the router ownership back. I see fierce fight in future as they will assert more stringent software rules now.
