Jio 5.5G network

What is Jio 5.5G network introduced in oneplus 13 ?

They were saying at launch event that phone will connect to three different 5g towers nearby simultaneously to gain more speed and will have less latency. 🤔

I can say there is no place in India where 3 jio 5g tower are that much close to give signal to 1 devices at same time.
Then how distance towers give more speed and less latency?

5.5G is just marketing term. 17 3GPP release specifies 2CC for SA 5G. SD Elite Gen 1's modem is 18 3GPP release which has provision for more than 2CC,,,,3CC in case of Jio's network. Even SD 8 Gen 3 supports 3CC (check x7 ultra Oppo). Useless mostly bevause in india in peak areas due to congestion in backhaul (evn fiber ones) is not enough, especially after drastic promotion of jio airfiber fwa. Even these days non peak areas dont hit 1gbps ....S23 Ultra i have tested....prev yr same area i always used to get 1.2-1.4gbps during non peak hours. These days same area 250-300mbps is difficult in non peak hours even tho tower is 100mts from home.
