There was no advantage.
There is going to be no advantage.
There will be no advantage.

There is going to be no national party presence in the state in any near future.

AIADMK landslide victory and becoming the third largest party in the parliament will help the state use its Rajvasabha presence as a leverage in achieving some benefits from the center. Without AIADMK and other large parties support BJP cant pass any bill on the Rajyasabha. So AIADMK's support is necessary for a smooth running of the parliament even if they don't have coalition.
