Jasprit Bumrah has become the leading wicket-taker in 2016. Bumrah has picked 24 wickets in 18 matches so far this year .
The right-arm fast bowler achieved the feat when he sent Zimbabwe’s Elton Chigumbura’s middle stump for a walk to pick his 23rd scalp.
Bumrah later demolished the woodwork behind Madziva’s bat to bag his 24th wicket in the year.
He now leads the tally and is followed by Bangladesh’s Al-Amin Hossain who has 22 dismissals to his name in 14 games.
While Al-Amin attains the second spot in this list, it is India’s mainstay R. Ashwin who stands at number three with 21 wickets in 15 encounters.
Shakib-Al-Hasan is just behind Ashwin with 20 wickets in 16 matches at number four and at number five it is UAE’s Amjad Javed with 18 scalps from 10 matches.
