In the course of their investigation into spot-fixing, the Mumbai police have stumbled upon colourful code names used by bookies for various players in their phone conversations.
"They do use codes to evade or to mislead security agencies, in case their mobiles are under surveillance," a police officer was reported as saying.
MS Dhoni was rather predictably named Helicopter, while Chris Gayle went under the moniker Raavan. Other code names include Rotadu (cry baby) for Sreesanth, Mowgli for Ajit Chandila and Kavala (crow) for Ankeet Chavan
Ankeet Chavan, one of the players involved in the spot-fixing scandal, has been given conditional bail till June 6th for his wedding, reports NDTV.
