NEW DELHI: Customs authorities at the IGI Airport seized on Saturday more than 75 iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, collectively worth Rs 46.39 lakh. The carrier was arrested for smuggling in the phones from Hong Kong, where they were launched recently.

A similar consignment was intercepted at the airport recently, taking the total number of phones seized to over 100 in a week. The phones are sold at black markets such as Palika Bazaar, Gaffar Market and Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi.

During questioning, the accused revealed that he had smuggled in several other consignments recently.
