Hello friends

I would like to know if any of you who have BSNL mobile have activated international roaming and used it on your travels, how is the service and what plan you did activate (if there is any)?

What's the charge for incoming and outgoing call and most importantly would I be charged for incoming SMS and Missed Calls too?

Have tried to contact the local BSNL office in my town but no help, they don't have any idea. Contacted BSNL on Twitter and they said to call CC who are just not aware of anything.

So I am left with only one option and that is to ask the users here.

Thanks

Bsnl ppl itself don't know about international roaming, i have my primary sim as bsnl but could not find any credible info for roaming so someone adviced me airtel and it worked flawlessly. my advice for u is buy an Airtel prepaid sim and keep a good balance in it, as soon as u switch on the phone in other country rs99/- will be deducted and their plans are quite cheap than others as when i went dubai the outgoing and incoming was rs30/- per min whereas others had 70-100.

But if u are going for a long duration then buy local sim from the airport itself

Calling is not an issue as I would buy a local sim as I will be there for three weeks, main issue is charges for incoming SMS and if they levy any charge on miss calls too.

Any idea?

For US and some countries even missed call or not picking the call after certain time is chargeable too.

I know mate, I have a Postpaid SIM only. Maybe I should have been more clear about it in my Original Post.
