India's internet traffic to grow 33% annually: Cisco

NEW DELHI: The Internet Protocol
(IP) traffic in India will quadruple
between 2014 and 2019 at a pace of
33% annually, spurred by rising
usage of mobile data and additional
networked devices, among others,
Cisco said. According to the 10th annual Cisco visual networking index (VNI) forecast, the annual IP traffic will
grow 4-fold from 2014 to 2019, a
compound annual growth rate of 33%. "In India, IP traffic will reach 4.0
exabytes per month in 2019, up from
967 petabytes per month in
2014,"Cisco said.
