Gambhir was also in the reckoning... surprised, he's not selected. :skd

I think, Sehwag's carrier is over now, we'll only see him in IPL. :lol

I think its very sensible that they had not picked Gautam, as its only 2 Test Match series. Team will not like to change the opening combination after 1 test. if it was a 3 Test match series, then reserve opener would have been ok, also Gautam will play in Ranji trophy in the mean time. if any Dhawan/Murli doesn't click in SA then we might see a new opener in NZL series.....
