The Indian Army on Tuesday released footage of "punitive fire assaults" carried out on Pakistani military posts across the Line Of Control in a bid to check infiltration.
Maj General Ashok Narula, head of the Army's public information wing, said that significant damage had been done to these posts in the Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
"As part of our anti-terror strategy, punitive fire assaults are carried out from time to time. Pakistani posts actively help infiltration," Narula said. "With the ice melting and passes getting opened, number of infiltration bids might increase."
