NEW DELHI: Shot-putter Inderjeet
Singh, who had already qualified for
2016 Rio Olympics, clinched the gold
medal at the Asian Athletics
Championships in Wuhan on
Wednesday.
The left-handed Inderjeet threw a
remarkable 20.41 metres distance to
bag the yellow metal. Chinese
Taipei's Chang Ming-Huang won the
silver medal with a throw of 19.56m,
while bronze was won by China's
Tian Zhizhong with a throw of
19.25m.
