Rwanda cricket captain Eric Dusingizimana set a unique Guinness world record by batting for 51 hours straight, the longest individual net session.

Interestingly, Dusingizimana left behind an Indian Virag Mane, who had batted a straight 50 hours, to achieve the feat.

Dusingizimana's was playing in a charity session to raise money to build an international stadium in Rwanda.

Celebrity guests like former Britain Prime Minister Tony Blair and Miss Rwanda also bowled to the skipper during the long and tiring session.

According to Cricbuzz, Pakistan's Hanif Mohammad, holds the record for batting the longest period of time in a cricket match.

Hanif, created the record by batted over a period of three days during his epic match saving knock of 337 against West Indies in 1958.
