Income tax department raids Tamil film actor Vijay's house ......

CHENNAI: Income
Tax officials raided
the premises of
Tamil actor Vijay
and producers and
director of Tamil
movie Puli on
Wednesday
morning in
connection with
alleged tax evasion.
Sources said I-T sleuths were
conducting raids on 25 premises
belonging the cast and crew members
of the movie. The movie is slated for
release on Thursday.
The film is directed by Chimbu Devan
and produced by Shibu Thameens and
PT Selvakumar.
Meanwhile, houses of South Indian
actor Nayanthara at three places were
also raided by the Income Tax
department in Kochi.
In Kochi, an IT team from Chennai is
currently conducting raid at the actor's
flat at Thevara. The raid started at
around 8 am.
IT officials in Kochi said that the raid is
led by a team from Chennai. According
to officials, similar raids are being
conducted at Nayanthara's flat in
Chennai and Hyderabad too.
Meanwhile, sources added that her
house at hometown Thiruvalla in
Pathanamthitta district may also be
raided.
