Idea Cellular, the country’s third biggest telco, has introduced a new Rs 397 recharge pack that offers 5GB 3G data to customers, along with unlimited local, national, and roaming calls. The Idea Rs 397 recharge plan is currently available for Idea prepaid customers via both MyIdea app and Idea website.

As we mentioned, the new Idea Rs 397 recharge plan comes with monthly data benefit of 5GB, along with unlimited calling – local, national, and roaming, and 100 SMSes per day for a validity of 84 days. It should be noted that the 5GB 3G data is for the entire validity period, i.e., for 84 days (~3 months). The new Idea Rs 397 recharge plan will take on Jio Rs 399 recharge plan, however, the data benefits being offered by Idea are nowhere close to what Jio is giving under its similarly-priced recharge plan. The Jio Rs 399 recharge plan was recently revised to offer 1.5GB 4G data for 84 days, in addition to unlimited calling and SMS benefits.

The Idea Rs 397 recharge plan is valid only for the prepaid customers in the Delhi and NCR circle. Moreover, after the exhaustion of the 5GB 3G data offered in this recharge plan, the customer will be charged at 4 paise per 10kb. The unlimited calling is also capped at 100 unique callers in a week or more than 250 mins in a day or 1000 mins in a week, post which the customer will be charged at 1 paisa per second for all the calls – local, national, and roaming.

Circle based offers are probably because Idea doesnt have 4G in that circle and risks losing its customers to 4G operators like Jio. Hence, trying to get a customised plan for 3G users, but yes- this is nowhere a threat to Jio.
Right in this case

But if both the states having 4g coverage also they are giving different offers to different circle though it's different between the users from same circle that's even worse :(:(:dodgy:

PAN india plans are best one like jio if u go wherever in india u can recharge with same denomination without any confusion unlike in AVoID we have to confirm with cc or retailer before recharge :wall::wall:

I used to refer to this Wikipedia link to earlier identify numbers, based on the series, as to which operator and circle they belong to. Now, with Number portability, this is not entirely true, but gives us a good insight on which operators owns how many series in a particular circle.

Quite surprising to see that Jio has now started a "6xxx" series of mobile numbers!
