Idea Cellular , the third largest telecom operator in India on Tuesday rolled out its 4G services in Gujarat in the towns of Gandhinagar, Anand, Bhavnagar and Bharuch. The telco said that it will further expand to cover 10 major cities including Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Gandhidham, Vadodara and Jamnagar covering 25% population of the state, by end March ‘17.
Idea is offering unlimited hourly 4G data packs priced at Rs 17. The company is also giving 250 MB to 1 GB for 15 days on recharge of Rs 63.
“Idea has consistently invested in network expansion to become a pan-India wireless broadband operator, readying our 200 million customers for the Digital era. Over the last one year, Idea has more than doubled its mobile broadband network on 4G/3G platform, and now covers over 50% of India’s population,” said Ambrish Jain , Deputy Managing Director, Idea Cellular.
The telco is also giving out 9 GB free 4G data on upgrading to 4G handset, along with 1.5GB 4G/3G pack. The users need to recharge with Rs 255 worth 1.5GB 4G/3G pack, post which they will get free 9GB 4G/3G data valid for 28 days.

We are now happy to launch our world class, high speed 4G services for over 1.6 crore Idea customers in the region and provide them with a full array of Digital services on high-speed broadband platform, catering to their ever growing infotainment needs,” said
