Idea Cellular Wednesday expanded its 4G LTE services to 9 districts of North East service area that includes Agartala, Aizawl, Imphal, Kohima, Mokokchung, Senapati and Tura areas.
Aditya Birla group's Idea Cellular in March this year made entry into the North East circle with 4G or fourth generation services.
Idea's 4G LTE services are now available to over 1.7 million people in North East, the company said in a statement.
With this launch, the telco is offering a complimentary 4G SIM upgrade together with promo offer with 1GB free 4G data, with trail packs starting from Rs 46.
"As part of the aggressive roll out of Idea's 4G LTE service, our focus has been to build a robust telecom infrastructure and provide superior internet coverage," Anish Roy, Chief Operating Officer- East, Idea Cellular said.
With better internet experience at affordable tariff plans and commitment towards customer delight, Roy added that the company aims to provide the best experience to its subscribers.
Idea's postpaid 4G plans are priced at Rs.999, Rs 1499 and Rs 2499, and 4G dongles, 4G Mi-Fi and Home Wi-Fi are also available in the region, India's third-largest telco added.
It has partnerships with various smartphone vendors that include Intex Technologies, Lava, Lenovo, Xiaomi and One Plus.
