World T20s could involve up to 20 teams in future, says ICC.

The International Cricket Council is mulling with the idea of scrapping the Champions Trophy and hosting two World T20 Cups in the four-year cycle, chief executive David Richardson said on Tuesday.

India, who holds the hosting rights for the next Champions Trophy in 2021, were thrashed by Pakistan by 180 runs in the finals at The Oval last Sunday.

The event received huge response from global audience as millions tuned in to catch the action of the stunning final in television.

No ICC World T20 in 2018, India to host next Champions Trophy in 2021
Twenty20 cricket may be lucrative business around the world but the International Cricket Council has decided not to host the 2018 World T20 due to a cramped schedule and lack of sponsors’ interest.

^^^ How stupid statement is that from ICC? Lack of sponser's interest? Give me a break... Just open a RFP and within few hours they would have Oppo or Vivo for Title sponsors. People all over love t20 and that brings sponsors.
