iBall has launched a new Wi-Fi only
tablet, the Slide Q40i at Rs. 4,999. The
company confirmed that the tablet will b
available in India across retail stores;
though no word whether the handset wil
be also available online.
The iBall Slide Q40i features a 7-inch
(1024x600 pixels) display and is
powered by a quad-core processor
clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 512MB
of RAM. The Android 4.4 KitKat-based
tablet comes with 8GB inbuilt storage
that is further expandable via microSD
card (up to 32GB). It also features wire-
free FM with antenna.
The tablet sports a 2-megapixel rear
camera with LED flash while a 0.3-
megapixel front-facing camera is also o
board. The Slide Q40i tablet supports
USB OTG.
Commenting on the launch of the iBall
Slide Q40i, Sandeep Parasrampuria,

iBall last week launched two new
Windows-based hybrid tablet PCs, the
iBall Slide WQ149i and iBall Slide
WQ149R - priced at Rs. 18,499 and Rs.
19,999 respectively. The 2-in-1 tablet
PCs are essentially the same device, with
the iBall Slide WQ149i offering only Wi-F
connectivity, and the iBall Slide WQ149R
offering 3G connectivity in addition to
Wi-Fi.
Upfront, the iBall Slide WQ149i and Slide
WQ149R feature a 10.1-inch WXGA
(1280x800 pixels) IPS multi-touch
display, and are powered by an Intel
Atom processor (up to 1.83GHz) coupled
with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Both run
Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box.
