I am interested in upgrading my parents phones (Galaxy S22 128 GB Indian Model SM-S901E/DS and Galaxy S23 256 GB USA Model SM-S911U1) to Galaxy S25 256 GB Indian Model. Since I have been outside India for a few years I have been out of touch with the Indian market.

When do typically prices in India drop on the Galaxy S series models?

What I preffer is go to offline stores and sell your old phone and buy a new phone. Show them the new phone's price online, they will agree to sell the new phone at online price.
All flagship models are sold at exact same price for apple and samsung

Is OnePlus 13 (12 GB RAM, 256 GB ROM, INR 70,000) a better phone compared to Samsung Galaxy S25 (256 GB) Base Model?

Opinions differ. Although both are equally good devices with the best specs, I would definitely say OP13 is a better value for money device than S25. And Oxygen OS is not as complicated as some of the UIs in the market. But I do agree with some of the replies here which states that someone used with Samsung would like/prefer Samsung. End of the day it is your decision and OP13 will not disappoint you.

It has also green/pink line issue

I think it is time to move over from this green line dramas. Firstly this issue is not brand specific. It happens to all brands, even iPhone and S24. Most importantly, all the brands have cracked the code and have fixed this on their latest releases. The devices launched after the 2H 2023 have very less reports of green lines. The issue is on the decline since then. It is not worth talking about green lines in 2025.

Bro Better see any available options in Samsung. Since you are telling it for your parents and they have already used Samsung mobile. It will be difficult for them to switch to other UI. Experienced this with my parents.

My parents haven't always been exclusively using Samsung. Before the current Galaxy S23 (USA Model), my mom used Google Pixel 4a (Indian Model, 4G LTE only, no 5G). Before the current Galaxy S22 (Indian Model), my dad used OnePlus Nord CE 5G (Indian Model, supported 5G on N78 only) and Motorola Moto X4 (4G LTE only, no 5G) before that. My mom also used iPhone 12 for a brief duration but switched back to Android since she found it difficult to adjust to iPhone.

I would have gotten them a recent Google Pixel instead of Samsung Galaxy series but decided against it as Google started using crappy Samsung Exynos modems from Pixel 6 onwards (when they switched over to in-house Tensor CPUs). I have myself used Pixel 6 and 7 and had faced worse cellular reception (in USA) than even "Pixel 4a 5G" before that.

I mainly want:
Android with good amount of promised OS and Security updates (like at least 5 years from launch date).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G modem
Dual Physical SIM + eSIM support (Both Physical SIM slots and eSIM must support 5G).
8 GB RAM or more (future proofing)
256 GB Storage or more (UFS, not eMMC)

While OnePlus 13 looks like a better value for money compared to Galaxy S25, OnePlus only promises 4 OS updates compared to 7 OS updates for Galaxy S25 promised by Samsung.

Not a good phone , it has bad front camera and green light issue after 1 year. Go to motorola and samsung fe series and second hand retail iphone 256gb of pro model fom local market
