Co-founded by a former Apple executive, Hyve Mobility ventured into the Indian market with two affordable smartphones that are aimed at offering pure Android experience. Targeting the sub-15K segment, the Hyve Buzz and Hyve Storm are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 8,499 respectively.

The Hyve Buzz features a 5.5-inch FHD (1920x 1080p) 2.5D Arc Glass Curved display. It comes with MiraVision technology for better user experience. It comes with a rubber back and a rear fingerprint sensor.

The phone features a 13 megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5 megapixel front camera. It includes 1080p video recording and HDR capability.

At the heart of the Hyve Buzz is a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. The phone packs an unusual 48 GB storage which is expandable up to 144 GB.

The Hyve Buzz comes with a 2500mAh TrueLife battery that is claimed to offer 15 hours of talk time on 4G and up to 22 days of standby time. It features the new USB Type-C reversible connector.

One of the highlights of the phone is the fingerprint based speed dialling. With a single touch, a user can make calls from pre-fed data.
The Hyve Buzz comes with a rear fingerprint sensor.

The phone is water resistant, supports 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, and available in Twilight Black, Midnight Blue, and Sunset Wine colour choices.

The sub-10K priced Hyve Storm, features a metal bezel design and sports a 5-inch HD display with MediaTek MiraVision technology. It features a 13 megapixel rear camera with PDAF system, 1080p video recording capability, and burst mode. It further includes a 5 megapixel front camera.

At the heart of Hyve Storm is a MediaTek MT6735 1.3GHz Quad-core processor coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It includes 16 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 80 GB via microSD card.

The phone draws its juice from a 2000mAh TruLife battery.

Unlike the Hyve Buzz, the Storm smartphone comes with a hybrid slot for either two SIMs or one SIM and one microSD card. Also, there is no fingerprint sensor on the lower-priced Storm smartphone.

The phones are based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a free upgrade to Android Marshmallow. Because the phones are aimed at offering stock Android experience, there is no bloatware.

Both the new Hyve phones come with HyveCare - the company's after sales service for customer satisfaction. The service is aimed at offering a smooth and easy servicing of the device which also includes pick and drop of the device.

The Hyve Buzz and Hyve Storm will be available on major e-commerce portals and start shipping from June 22.
