Huawei's Ascend P6 finally got launched officially in India today at Rs. 29,999. The device which was announced back in June and went on sale with Indian e-commerce wesbsites earlier this week.
Going by the specs, the handset comes packed with a 4.7-inch display based on in-cell LCD screen technology with responsive touch that works even while wearing gloves. It comes with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 312 ppi.
It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and features a Huawei K3V2 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS along with a new Emotion UI.
Moving on to the imaging technology, it has an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro and 1080P full HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device also houses 8GB of internal storage capacity which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Huawei Ascend P6 comes with a regular set of connectivity options like 3G HSPA+, dualband WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Also considered as one of the slimmest phone measuring 6.18 mm thick, it weighs 120 grams and draws its energy from a Li-Po 2000 mAh battery capable of offering up to 416 hours (2G) and up to 315 hours (3G) of standby time and up to 28 hours (2G) and up to 14 hours (3G) of talktime.
The Huawei Ascend P6 comes in black and white color variants with matching color cases.
Talking about the features, the smartphone comes with a multi-screen AirSharing capability, panoramic shoot, enhanced Easy Panel with profile selection and packs a battery with Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) and Quick Power Control (QPC) battery optimization and power saving technology similar to the Ascend Mate.
Looking at the specs of the handset, the newly launched Micromax Canvas Turbo will be its direct competitor. Apart from that, Nexus 4, Sony Xperia ZR, Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X would also be a tough rival for Huawei Ascend P6.
