The original HTC One aka One (M7 ) is
reportedly receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop
update in India, Malaysia, Singapore an
other regions.
Last month, HTC's VP of Product
Management Mo Versi had confirmed th
Android 5.0 Lollipop update rollout for
HTC One devices over a Twitter post,
specifically meant for the unlocked and
Developer Edition variants; though durin
the announcement Versi didn't specify
the regions where the update will first ro
out.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update to HTC
One (M7) in India is reportedly (via
GSMArena) 774.83MB in size and
shipping with build version
7.21.707.105. Notably, this update buil
version is different from the previously
rolled out update build number
7.17.1540.7 (702.52MB) and version
7.19.401.2 (804.78MB), reportedly
received by some users in different
regions.
Unfortunately, the Taiwanese company
hasn't provided any changelog for the
HTC One (M7)'s Android Lollipop update
But according to user reports, the new
Lollipop update packs new Lock screen,
Lollipop-style notifications and user
interface, improved privacy features, and
the addition of a search function within
Settings. The Recent apps menu is now
said to support multiple pages and
removes the current limit.
To remind you, HTC has already
announced that the 2013 flagship HTC
One will not be receiving any more
updates, but the Google Play Edition of
the HTC One (M7) will receive the Androi
5.1 update.
Replying to a user on Twitter on whether
the HTC One will be receiving the Androi
5.1 Lollipop update as well, Versi had
confirmed the news earlier this month.
Further, Versi also confirmed that HTC
will push out Android 5.1 for the HTC
One (M7) GPE by early April.
