The long-rumoured HTC One M9+ is
finally official now. HTC on Wednesday
unveiled the One M9+ at a press event
held in Beijing.

The larger variant of its existing flagship
One M9, the HTC One M9+ features a
5.2-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixels)
display and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
with HTC Sense 7 UI on top.

The Taiwanese company will initially
launch the smartphone in China region,
and has not yet detailed pricing, or
revealed any information on its global
release. Also as expected, the big home
button on One M9+ is a fingerprint
sensor that will also support biometric
authentication for the AliPay payment
system in China.

The HTC One M9+ is powered by 2.2GHz
octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor
coupled with 3GB of RAM. The inbuilt
storage on the device is 32GB, which is
further expandable by a microSD card (u
to 128GB).

The One M9+ features an UltraPixel fron
camera and HTC's duo rear camera
setup just like the One (M8) . The primar
camera in the setup is a 20-megapixel
shooter (f/2.2) along with a depth-
sensing camera. Notably, HTC dropped
the Duo camera in One M9 , explaining
that the overall handset design couldn't
accommodate the 20-megapixel sensor
along with a depth-sensing lens.
Evidently the company managed with th
bigger variant.

Connectivity options on the device
include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,
Infrared, DLNA, FM radio, and NFC. The
One M9+ is backed by a similar
2840mAh non-removable battery as see
on One M9. HTC will launch the
smartphone in three colour options -
Gunmetal grey, Amber Gold, and Silver
Gold.
