HTC launches Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700 in India, prices start at Rs 16,89

A couple of weeks back at an event in Taiwan, HTC launched a slew of devices like the Desire 501, Desire 601 and the Desire 700. Today, the company has launched these devices in India with prices starting from Rs 16,890.

Starting with the dual-SIM Desire 501, it features a 4.3-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.15GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Other features include an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and HTC Zoe support, 2.1-megapixel front camera, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card, a 2,100mAh battery and connectivity options include 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. The device runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under Sense UI and is priced at Rs 16,890.

The dual-SIM Desire 601 gets a slightly bigger 4.5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera with HTC Zoe, VGA front camera, two HTC BoomSound stereo speakers at the front, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 2,100mAh battery that is said to be good enough for 12.8 hours of talktime and 440 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options are the same as above and it runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under Sense UI. The Desire 601 is available for Rs 24,190.

Lastly, the Desire 700 features a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and HTC Zoe support, 2.1-megapixel front camera, two HTC BoomSound stereo speakers at the front, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card and a 2,100mAh battery, which is said to be good enough for 11.6 hours of talktime and 582 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under HTC’s Sense UI. The Desire 700 is priced at Rs 33,050.
