HTC has started rolling out the Android 5.0 update for Desire 816 smartphone in the Indian market. The update is now live over-the-air (OTA) and will reach all 816 units over the course of the next few days.
863MB in size, the update brings Android 5.0-specific changes like ART as default runtime, UI improvements, lock-screen improvements, enhanced notifications, better performance, enhanced privacy features as well as HTC-specific tweaks like updated Recent Apps UI and search in settings.
Given the large update size, use Wi-Fi to download and install the update, else you might end up cleaning out your monthly cellular data package.
