After recently unveiling the Desire 10 Pro, HTC is likely to launch the smartphone in India on November 24. The company has already sent out media invites for the same and the smartphone is already listed on HTC India website. While the invite doesn’t reveal anything about the smartphone, it hints at the gold metal rims at the front and back as seen on the Desire 10 Pro.
The Desire 10 Pro features a premium design with mid-level specifications. The smartphone will be offered in four color variants – stone black, polar white, royal blue and valentine lux. On the design front, you have the metal frame and plastic body. The volume rocker and power button is placed on the right, the microUSB port placed at the bottom along with speaker grill and 3.5mm audio jack placed on the top. At the back, you have the camera module with dual tone LED flash, laser auto-focus and a circular fingerprint sensor. You also have the antenna lines with gold color finish along the top and bottom half, adding to the distinct look and feel of the smartphone.
HTC Desire 10 Pro specifications
The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. A microSD card slot for expandable storage is also present. There is also another variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage, but looking at the site listing, HTC may only launch the higher configuration model in India.
In the photography department, the Desire 10 Pro sports a 20-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.2 with LED flash and laser autofocus, along with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera of aperture f/2.2 for selfies and video calling. Armed with a 3,000mAh battery, connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
On the software front, the Desire 10 Pro boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under the HTC Sense UI. Just like the flagship HTC 10 smartphone, the company has also added support for 24-bit Hi-Res audio and Dolby-enhanced BoomSound speakers on the Desire 10 Pro. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability, and we’ll get to know more when HTC announces the smartphone on November 24.
HTC also recently unveiled the Desire 10 Lifestyle Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB onboard storage. The smartphone also features 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It remains to be seen if HTC also launches the Desire 10 Lifestyle or just the Desire 10 Pro.
