HP has launched its new Windows 8.1-based tablet in India, the HP Stream 8, at Rs. 16,990. The tablet has gone up on sale via company's official store without any announcement.
The tablet was unveiled back in September last year, with a 7-inch variant dubbed the HP Stream 7. Then HP had priced the Stream 7 and Stream 8, at $99.99 (approximately Rs. 6,100) and $149.99 (approximately Rs. 9,200) respectively. The 3G-enabled HP Stream 8 is a single-SIM (Micro-SIM) device and runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. As the name suggests, it features an 8-inch HD (1280x800 pixels) IPS display.
