The first thing to do if you intend to use Google Maps offline is to download the offline map of the area. For this you'll need a proper internet connection, keep this in mind.
Step 1: Make sure you're connected to the internet before you start travelling
Download the Google Maps app if you don't have it already and open it.
Step 2: Open Google Maps
Enter the name of the location you intend to travel in the search bar of Google Maps.
Step 3: Search for the intended destination
After entering the location, you'll see information about the place you intend to travel, on pulling up this information from the bottom you'll see a download button, hit it.
Step 4: Download offline maps
After downloading the offline maps, all you have to do is travel, if the internet connection is slow Google Maps will automatically detect it and guide you with the help of offline maps.
Step 5: You're good to go
