While some may disagree, GPS is one of the most underrated features of the smartphone. You'll not know how important it can be until you're struck in a no-mans-land.

It can get only worse if you've a poor internet connection or no connection at all for you may not be able to access maps effortlessly.

So, in this post, we will tell you how to use GPS on your Android smartphone even when you don't have access to the internet.

The first thing to do if you intend to use Google Maps offline is to download the offline map of the area. For this you'll need a proper internet connection, keep this in mind.

Step 1: Make sure you're connected to the internet before you start travelling

Download the Google Maps app if you don't have it already and open it.

Step 2: Open Google Maps

Enter the name of the location you intend to travel in the search bar of Google Maps.

Step 3: Search for the intended destination

After entering the location, you'll see information about the place you intend to travel, on pulling up this information from the bottom you'll see a download button, hit it.

Step 4: Download offline maps
