Hi Team, I've a doubt on getting unreserved Ticket while Travelling. For example a train runs from Source A to Destination B with approximately 12 hrs Journey. But I have current availability upto a intermediate station named C in which the train stops only for 2 mins. So if I travelled to A to C with current availability booking, how can I take unreserved Ticket for intermediate station C to Destination B without going to counter as I've only 2 mins to change my compartment.

Sorry bro. What do you meant by Station C QR code..? Where I can find that. Also where you asked me to buy preprinted copy.? Can you explain in more detail. Also last time when I was traveling I couldn't take tickets from UTS saying you're near to the Track.. pls advise me in detail.
The app won't allow you to book a ticket while you are in the train or close to the tracks or on the platform (Based on your phone's GPS), this is done specifically to prevent ticketless travellers from buying tickets only after spotting a TC or TTE. In that case if you are at the platform you need to use the QR code based ticket booking option in uts app.

After clicking on journey ticket by QR you need to scan...
But I can't book while travelling in train. Right.? Also paper ticket from Source destination has terms and conditions like it has to be used within 3 hours or from the first train which travel from that intermediate station C to Destination B..
It's possible bro, but once reached within 2 km of station It's working, no need paper ticket, select paperless ticket

If this is pertaining to Western Railway then if the distance between station C to B is more than 200 KM you can book an unreserved ticket up to 3 days in advance.
If not then your only option is to book on UTS app using station C's QR code either through another mobile or a pre-printed copy that you can carry along (won't let you book in normal mode while inside the train). This can be done when the train is pulling into the station, 2 mins halt is enough since you will not have to leave the train to go to the ticket window.

Wait that happens ? I have seen TTs asking to purchase ticket via UTS in Bengaluru when there is crowd . I always used to get mad as the network was low , never tried tho.

One more thing you could do is if you already have reserved ticket , and your next destination is within UR limit that is 100km , and your seat is vacant as per railway listing for rest of the journey, you can ask TT saying you would require ticket for upcoming station he will help you ( mind it that this request should be asked before the reserved ticket journey ends )

After clicking on journey ticket by QR you need to scan the QR which is present at the station from which you want to book your general unreserved ticket. But since you won't be able to get off at the platform and search for this QR code and do the booking and get back to the train within that 2 min duration of the train halt, your only option is to find that station's QR code on Google and print it out beforehand and keep in your wallet.

Now when your train reaches that station beyond which you don't have reservation, just open uts app and click on book ticket using QR code and scan this code which you already have with you and then it won't show you the error of being too close to the station.
Once your unreserved ticket is booked, you can move to the unreserved compartment and continue your journey further.
Hope this clears your doubts and helps you travel hassle-free.
