I am on Android Marshmallow. Is there a way to remove Voice Search icon? Since it's an icon not an app itself. I think it's removal. I searched everywhere. But I couldn't find steps to remove it.

Uninstall Google app updates and disable Google app. Or, just hide Voice search icon from launcher.

I can't uninstall Google app as I use Google assistant. How do I hide Voice search from launcher? The option isn't available on MIUI.

What you want is a launcher specific feature and it is not available in default MIUI launcher so you cannot do that. To remove any unwanted icons like that use a third party launcher.

You are not using Same Default Launcher, Realme C2 runs Color OS 6 launcher and that's why that icon is not available there.

You can try this method, it will lock any app but there is less chance that it will work for that Voice icon.

System apps are not available for hiding. Anyhow thanks for the help Sumit and Abhinav bro.

It's weird that you have both Google assistant as well as voice search. I had this voice search icon initially which disappeared after Google replaced voice search with assistant. I am also using MIUI fyi. Maybe your voice search app loves you so much that it doesn't want to leave you. #haunted
