Suggest a gps enabled location tracking device for 7-8yr old special kids. Device that can wear on hand like a watch or in neck like a locket.
 
The make smartwatches for kids with gps trackers.

Almost every other company makes nowadays. I haven't used one personally. So would ask you to watch youtube videos for recommendation.
