Google has announced add-ons for its office programs – Docs and Sheets on Android devices. These add-ons are designed to make it easier to work on your official documents on your mobile. These add-ons are available on the Google Play store and can be downloaded from there, or directly within the Docs and Sheets apps. Google Docs is in a direct competition with Microsoft Word, and these additional features might make it dearer to the audience.

Considering that a lot of people are working on the go, as their devices become more intricate and powerful, these add-ons will make for ease of work. These add-ons will let you get a contract ready for e-signing using DocuSign, or pull CRM data in your spreadsheet, among various other things.

Google has worked with several partners for the initial set of the add-ons. Add-ons like Scanbot will let you scan pages and create editable text. Various other add-ons include EasyBib, ZohoCRM, PandaDoc and Teacher Aide, and Google Classroom. AppSheet will let you create apps without actually doing any coding. ProperWorks can be used to create and update reports, graphs, dashboards straight onto your sheets.

Back in April, Google rolled out an update for its Drive to allow users to download and edit Sheets, Docs and Slide files offline. Once an individual user has enabled offline access in Google Drive, a subset of their Docs, Sheets, and Slides files are synced to their computer or device.
