Seeking Help Google App consuming lots and lots of Internet Data and Internal Storage

Guys, I don't know why but Google App is consuming GBs of data and storage in my old MI device (Redmi Note 5A). And all this is happening in the background. I've tried everything but I can't stop it. Stopped background data usage still nothing happened. When clearing data of the app, the storage is regained, but the download begins again. Usually there is 3 GB of available space in the phone but now it is barely 100 MB. And one thing, all this is happening when connected to Broadband Wifi (Airtel).

If anyone of you know how to stop it, do tell.

The culprit could be any app from google because all the google apps report it's usage and activity to google. Try these steps..

• Clear data on all the google apps that you don't use
• force close and disable those apps
• restrict background activity for google app
• check device settings, google account settings and google app settings and remove any data reports to google, if any available
• finally clear data for the google app

Disable everything except the ones you need. I even use gmail in browser.

Thanks a lot @mmadhankumar and @iDJ bro for the help. Cleared Data of Google App 6-7 times and disabled unused apps and it worked. Now I've got the storage back and thanks to that I can use this phone fluently. Thank you so much guys!
