California, Aug 14: The search giant Google said that it will start to populate individual users' search results with posts that have been shared publicly by their connections on Google+.
With the new feature, Google aims to tailor results to individual tastes. To avail this feature, users have to sign-in to their Google accounts. A Google official said that users will get reviews about a restaurant or any news links from sharings in their Google+ account.
"Now not only do I get some great reviews on the Web, I get a review from a friend about a restaurant, with recommendations about what dishes to order," Sagar Kamdar, Google product manager said in a blog.
"This is just the latest step in helping you find the most relevant information possible, personalized to your interests and the people you care about," he added.
