More than a year after launching it in China,
Gionee has quietly launched the P5L in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,499, and is available on Gionee’s official website. It is available in white and black color variants, and one of its highlights is the support for VoLTE.
Gionee P5L specifications and features:
It features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS On-Cell Display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD Card.
On the camera front, the Gionee P5L comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It packs 2,300mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 9 hours of talktime and up to 300 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and Micro-USB.
The Gionee P5L runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Amigo 3 UI, and it also includes preloaded apps like Child Mode, Gionee Xender, Whatsapp, Facebook, Battery Doctor, Snapdeal, WPS office, 360 Security lite, Clean master, Hungama, and TouchPal 2015.
