Gionee is gearing up for a launch event in China on July 26, where it will be taking the wraps off the M6 and M6 Plus smartphones. While we have already come across alleged specifications and features of the M6, there was little known about the M6 Plus. Now however, Gionee has released a teaser, which reveals a key aspect of the M6 Plus.
As per the teaser, the Gionee M6 Plus will boast a massive 6,020mAh battery. In comparison, the Gionee M6 is expected to boast a 5,000mAh battery. While other details are scarce, the M6 Plus too is expected to come with an encryption chip for data protection. This chip will protect data like call records, photos, notes, documents and more, and Gionee also claims this level of security isn’t offered by any other company yet.
Gionee M6 specifications
Based on what we have come across so far, the M6 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage. There is no word yet if there will be a microSD card slot to expand the internal memory.
Gionee M6 features
The M6 is also expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 8-megapixel selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone is likely to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
