Much like other members of the Marathon series of smartphones, pthe Gionee Marathon M4 too sports a large battery with 5,000 mAh capacity. Having said this, the M4 is perhaps the only smartphone in India with such huge battery in the sub-Rs 15,000 price range.
The company claims that the 5000mAh battery can deliver up to 400 hours of standby time and 18 hours of talk time on 3G networks.
Speaking about the new smartphone, it comes with dual SIM card slots while supporting 4G network in India.
Apart from 4G, other connectivity options on the Gionee Marathon M4 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth options.
Coming with a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of in-built storage which can further be expanded via a microSD card.
The M4 comes with an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary front facing camera of 5 MP capacity.
Considering the specifications of the smartphone, we expect the M4 to prove competent enough to some of the big names like Samsung and LG. We just have to wait and watch.
Also, in case if you had missed it out, Gionee launched its pocket friendly Pioneer P2M smartphone at Rs 6,999 last week.
