Garmin launches its Virb Ultra 30 action camera with 4K recording...
Garmin has refreshed its Virb action camera range with the addition of Virb Ultra 30. Garmin Virb Ultra 30 camera offers 4K recording, voice control, one-touch live streaming, LCD colour touchscreen and 3-axis image stabilization.
The camera features a 1.75-inch display and also offers Built-in ANT+, Bluetooth , Wi-Fi, accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter, compass and GPS capture G-Metrix data.
The Garmin Virb app enables users to share 30 high-definition videos by streaming live to YouTube as well as also upload videos on Facebook and Garmin Connect Share. Additionally, the Virb app transforms smartphones or tablets into Wi-Fi remote controls for the action camera.
The company is also offering Garmin VIRB Edit, a desktop editing software that can auto-create videos highlighting the best moments captured by the Ultra 30 camera.
Virb Ultra 30 action camera also incorporates handsfree voice control. Users can now speak commands to the action camera, such as "OK Garmin, start recording," or "OK Garmin, remember that," to tag specific moments from recordings that can be reviewed later on.
It packs in a 1250 mAh battery which promises to deliver some 2 hours 15 minutes of video recording at 1080p/30fps and up to 1 hour 15 minutes at 4K/30fps.
Recently, Garmin announced its latest GPS-enabled smartwatch Forerunner 35. The device is priced at $199.99 and will come in Black, Limelight, Frost Blue and White colour options. The company said that it will go on sale in Q3 2016.
Garmin Forerunner 35 comes with built-in Elevate wrist-based heart rate sensor that monitors heart rate 24x7. It tracks distance, pace, count steps, calories and intensity minutes.
