Cancellation Policy | Flipkart.com

What about this law that was passed just last year
Termed as Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the new rules clearly tells that the ecommerce portals such as Amazon, Flipkart and others cannot charge a cancellation fee from the users, once they have made the payment.

This will provide relief to Indian e-shoppers, who are often stuck after making the payments, and canceling the orders become a big hassle.

At the same time, in case the ecommerce portal cancels the order after the payment has been made, then they will need to pay a penalty.

This has happened because a lot of users are misusing e-commerce companies cancellation policy and due to which company suffer losses.

What about cod or pay later order. How they'll collect the cancellation change

As per the internet chatter, a percentage of the product will need to paid in advance before you are able to place a COD order. And, that prepaid cost won't be refunded if you decide to cancel the order because that's taken as a part of the cancellation fee.

Once my friend wanted to return a mobile. But Flipkart did not take it back.
He angrily ordered 4-5 large appliances amounting to above 1lakh and did not receive calls when these were out for delivery.
Flipkart blocked his account along with the cards attached with account for further use in Flipkart.

I buy a lot of phones in Flipkart and flipkart has this ridiculous policy of limiting a customer from ordering more number of phones per year. But they don't show it anywhere or the app or website won't even show the error when ordering. But once the order is placed with card, it will cancel immediately. In this case, why do I have to pay cancellation charges. In these cases where the cancelation is done by the company, they have to pay the customer. Similarly when they delay an order, they have to pay us. On several occasions, birthday gifts arrive 2 3 days later.

Flipkart is always a mess. Famous for fake products, fraudulent activities. Now they have started this day light robbery.

This is another problem with Flipkart. When you want to return or replace a product, they simply deny or they have a dedicated team to teach us phone specifications. Lol. I have always hated flipkart. They have a very buggy app too.
