Ecommerce major Flipkart expects to more than double its smartphone sales on the back of its “Buyback Guarantee" program which it will roll out ahead of the upcoming Big10 sale with leading smartphone brands.
The leading online retailer said that it had found the pilot run during March with the Moto G5 to be successful, following which it will launch the facility for Rs 399 upfront for Lenovo, Motorola , Vivo and Oppo models. The facility will be made a permanent feature for Flipkart smartphones after the sale, but at a higher price, senior official at the company said.
BuyBack guarantee is like buying insurance cover for the phone. Under the program, Flipkart promises to buy smartphone back at the value agreed on ensuring maximum returns for the customer.
